Speak Now – Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift, the new teenage idol, has recently become a hit with all young girls. Her second album, Speak Now, is proving to be a further success, with all ages, as she storms the album charts. Featuring 14 songs, Taylor Swift’s new album musically expresses the development of feelings as young people progress through adolescence and encapsulates what most girls think and will feel at some stage during their life.

One of the main songs, which I can’t get out of my head, is ‘Enchanted’. I particularly like the lyrics, ‘please don’t be in love with someone else’. These lyrics shows how Taylor is expressing every girls fear when they are young and meeting guys, which enables me and many other girls to relate to the story within the song. Taylor swift voices common feelings that we all experience, which makes you realise that everyone goes through similar emotions in life. I find this almost comforting, knowing that they’re not odd feelings and don’t make you different, it’s just part of growing up.

Speak Now is full of amazing new songs, with absolutely breath-taking lyrics inspired by the country guitarist and singer. Amazingly, Taylor Swift found fame by singing karaoke at a restaurant called Henny’s in Stone Harbour, in New Jersey (NJ).

Every one of her songs speaks from the heart and makes every girl smile at the fact they aren’t alone in these feelings of love. For all these reasons, I’m giving her a rating of 5, due to the fact that these songs are inspiring and express love and laughter perfectly through music.
