Just cause 2.

Just Cause 2 was released in late 2009, with a massive launch and lots of great sponsors. Just Cause 2 is not really a classifiable as a type of game, as you can pretty much do anything you want, whether it is flying, swimming, parachuting or just driving around. The sky is really the only limit on this game.

Just Cause 2 follows on from Just Cause 1's story line. You play as Rico Rodrougues, an elite soldier with interesting weaponry, on the islands on Panua. The story based around three terrorist groups, who you must help, in order to over throw the corrupt government. The government has been seen to be trashing Panua, by selling off all its land and oil. You play 7 main story missions and 30 side missions, all eventually leading to one big last mission, where you use a nuclear bomb to obliterate the government and destroy the oil fields.

As well as the story mode, another fun feature, of Just Cause 2, is the free play mode. In free play mode you can earn chaos points, for destroying government property and the more chaos you have, the higher your game completion. In free play there are four islands you can go to; the Tropical Island, the Desert Island, the Snowy Island and Panua City. All these places span around 100 miles and take forever to explore.

Just Cause 2's main feature is its new air experience, which shows you a simulated version of what flying a plane or helicopter is like. The air experience is brilliant, as the clouds and the ground all feel like they're really there. The game made me feel really involved in the action.

Furthermore, there are many ways to get around in Just Cause 2. You can fly in over 100 different planes or helicopters and drive in around in about 80 different cars or trucks. Also, there is the option of sailing, where you have the choice of over 30 different boats. My personal favourite method of transportation is the grapple and parachute, which you can use to scale any landscape. It is so realistic.

Just Cause 2's massive landscape and unique features will keep you playing for months, if not years on end. The story, plus the maps, abundance of vehicles and guns, as well as the ability to order anything from a pistol to a hovercraft, make this game a must for everyone!
